NCMA’s Structural Masonry Design Software is a powerful tool for masonry element design. Use this software to design walls, columns, lintels and pilasters for all design loads. The software also provides code prescribed detailing requirements for seismic reinforcement, lap splicing, shear reinforcement, stirrups and more.
Note: NCMA is in the process of developing a new masonry element software. This new software will be released in summer 2020. The current software on this page will continue be offered until the replacement is ready. Support for the current Structural Design Software will likely be discontinued by December 2021. This latest version of a software (Version 7.2) generates structural designs of masonry elements according to code requirements from both the 2013 TMS 402, Building Code Requirements for Masonry Structures, and the 2015 International Building Code. The software will design to earlier versions of the code as well. The software can also utilize the masonry design provisions of TMS 402 and corresponding loading criteria from ASCE 7, choosing from either allowable stress or strength design methodologies.
There are multiple output options too, including code-referenced design calculations and axial load/moment capacity interaction diagrams. Serviceability checks are available as well, including deflections and second order P-delta effects.
