NCMA offers a new, free “green” course for the design community

The National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA), the national trade association that has represented producers and suppliers of concrete masonry products for over a century is currently offering something free that could contribute to a cleaner, safer next 100 years.

Because it’s green.

They’re offering a free continuing education course for design professionals they’ve developed called “Concrete Masonry: The Energy Efficient Solution” – and it effectively details how increased energy efficiency is playing a larger and larger role in everyday building decisions. It also illustrates how building envelopes constructed with concrete masonry create high-performance buildings that can exceed energy code requirements.

Hosted on the website AECDaily.com – an educational hub that helps architects, specifiers, engineers and construction professionals – it’ll be accessible 24 hours a day thanks to the .com’s convenience and wealth of building information, educational opportunities, forums and much more.

The course can fulfill AIA CES credits. To take it or check it out, go here.
